Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need AutoCAD installed?▼
No. DWG files are parsed and rendered entirely in the browser using the DXF/DWG parsing library. AutoCAD is not required.
Which AutoCAD DWG versions are supported?▼
DWG files from AutoCAD 2007 through 2019 (R17 through R25 file format) are supported.
Are drawing layers and dimensions preserved?▼
Yes. The PDF output includes all visible layers, dimensions, text annotations, and line weights from the DWG drawing.
Can the PDF be printed to scale?▼
Yes. The PDF preserves the drawing's coordinate system. Print at 1:1 scale by selecting 'Actual size' in your PDF viewer.
Is the conversion done in the browser?▼
Yes. DWG parsing and PDF generation both happen locally. No file is uploaded to any server.
